Locally Grown, Spray Free Flower Farm Flowers and Picking Field in Witta (a beautiful short drive from Maleny)
Locally grown, affordable flowers, grown with love in the open air. No sprays, plastic or transport environmental impact, and pollinator friendly to bring nourishment and nurturing to your soul.
In the field and fairytale garden at Witta we are in the process of establishing 100 romantic old fashioned type roses, cottage inspired native flowers such as paperdaisies, herbs, yarrow, echinacea, lavenders, bulbs, violets, dahlias and seasonal annuals including sunflowers, zinnia, cosmos, and other treasures.
I love to grow and share flowers that are different to the mainstream commercial varieties - with an emphasis on beautiful colour tones, fragrance and texture. Flowers which bring joy to your space or your recipient’s home.
The main challenges growing flowers in the Maleny area are enthusiastic digging bandicoots, nibbling wallabies and hares, heavy clay soil and periods of intense rainfall… however our rich volcanic soil and temperate climate gives the flowers such energy and abundance.
The Rosy Wren Flower Farm Stand will be opening soon on Witta Road with additional plans for open garden days/pick your own flowers and relaxing, flower filled workshops. Blooms at the stand will be available ready to take home in two sizes of jars - easy to carry and no need to arrange, with no plastic wastage.
Petite flower jar (ideal for your bedside table, desk or bathroom) $12
Large flower jar - $25
Return your jar and take $2 off your next posy. Flower Farm jars designed for easy transport to fit into the cup section of your car.
A selection of art postcard prints inspired by local flowers also will be available at the farm stand.
Flowers will be available most weeks from early Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday mornings until sold out. Flowers are harvested and sold within 24 hours to ensure vitality and maximum enjoyment. In a previous chapter I ran a not for profit called The Flower Project Foundation with a team of other volunteers and we created and gifted around 3000 “bouquets of caring” to people in the community. We also won a blue ribbon first prize for our horticultural pavilion display - it was quite the adventure!
We love to share our beautiful flowers and garden with you!
